Sneaky Snake

Ive been back in this house since June 2004 and I have not seen one single snake anywhere at all, well in the wild that is....
Anyway, I was just in my kitchen doing up a few dishes and I looked out my window and saw the momma mockingbird land on the fence just outside the window and spread her wings out. I looked in the grass below because I saw something move and thought...oohh baby bird...but nope I was wrong...
It was a king snake. And he had his head up in the air like he was going after the bird. Not sure who was going after who there, but it was neat, so I run in here and snatch up my camera and run out the door as fast as I can so I can try and get a shot of the snake....and what do you know?? The darn snake is gone already. I think he has a hole in the azalea bush right there by the fence, and thats probably where he went, but he coulda waited until I got out there and took a picture or two LOL
Animals never stay still long enough for you to get a good picture of them hehee
