Three New Birds

I had 3 new birds come to my bird feeders today. Of course I couldnt get pictures of them because I didnt have the camera handy when I saw them, and when I did get the camera out there, it was too dark to shoot a good shot. But Im going to try again tomorrow and hopefully they will show up again.

the first was a male ruby throated hummingbird, up until now only females have been showing up. The males are the only ones with the ruby color on their throats, the females are either the emerald green or the grayish color, depending on their age. And I had just gotten through 2 hours before telling a friend on the phone who also has a hummingbird feeder out that I hadnt seen a male ruby yet, then just 2 hours later, she was down here and one shows up.

Then the other day my mom was telling me how she once saw a chickadee on a fence across from her house a couple years ago or so...and I dont remember really ever seeing one at all. Then today, this little one shows up on the feeder and hangs around chasing off the purple finches every chance he got. But he was so cute, even smaller than the finches, but he was a mighty lil thing.

Then the cutest one of all was the tufted titmouse. I had only seen them in pictures and drawings, and I went outside in time to see this grayish/bluish bird on the feeder with a tuft of feather on his head. I couldnt figure out what he was, and I was on the phone with my aunt, and so I described him to her and she suggested a titmouse so I looked it up online and sure enough...thats what it was. He was absolutely adorable.

So Im hoping they come back again so I can shoot pictures. The titmouse and the chickadee both didnt care that I was outside watching them, so hopefully I can get pictures of them with this pathetic camera of mine. And if the hummingbirds come back and will be still long enough I can get some kind of picture of them LOL

Just wanted to share and hopefully sometime tomorrow I will have pictures to share.
