Two New Birds

I have been feeding the birds outside for almost a year now and this past week I have seen 2 types of birds I have never seen here before. Last week I saw a little black bird out there that really looked like it had a hurt wing, but come to find out it was a yellow stripe, and upon closer inspection of the bird, realized that it was a red winged black bird. Just the one, and he is still hanging around. He is very flighty so I havent been able to get a picture of him yet, but still hoping to.

Then in the past couple of days, more little black birds showed up and they were catbirds, and if Im not mistaken folks have said they are a nuisance. They were only here for one day, cleaned out my feeder and left and I havent seen them since. But I had never seen a catbird before so it was a neat experience, nuisances or otherwise. And again, they took off if I even got close to trying to take pictures of them.

And of course I still have all of my other birds hanging around, especially the sparrows, and the purple finches showed up for the cold weather too. The sparrows are eating me out of house and home, but after they saved 2 of my azalia bushes from the azalia worms (it was a buffet for them lol) I dont mind them hanging out and eating.
