Something Different & Nightly Visitor

I went out the door to take Boomer to go potty and saw something I thought I would never see on my bird feeder.... a red headed woodpecker. I didnt think they ever visited bird feeders but sure enough there he was, big bright red head, everything.

But of course I didnt have my camera, and he took off too quick to get a picture of him. But Im hoping he will come back and I can get one of him to show you.

And every night underneath my window AC, this little guy builds a nice pretty big web for the night. Im waiting for the night when he spans his web across there and attaches it to my car, but so far he has kept it out of the way. Almost like he knows we go through there when taking the dog out to potty, so he keeps his web out of the way. I am believing that he is an orb weaving spider, but have put in a question on a good website I use for identifying critters called Whats That Bug? and hopefully they will give me an answer if Im right.

Here is a shot of his back and his belly...kinda neat looking isnt he? I have named him Harold since he's here every night.
