My adult female hummingbird did something new today and it was actually funny at first. I had gone up to the mailbox to see if the mail had been, and on my way back I saw Diamond in the window watching something and being all excited about it, and I looked closer and it was my adult female hummingbird, buzzing and hovering around in front of the window, like she was teasing him saying "Neener Neener you cant get me". LOL
She did it all afternoon and evening though, every time she came to the feeder, she came to the window to look in, whether there was a cat or not. Maybe I should open the curtain tomorrow so she can see whats in here hehee
The male hummingbird comes up to me while I sit on the porch and just hovers there in front of me for a while then zooms off. Almost like he's saying thank you for the juice hehee.
And I got so excited today, I was watching the hummingbirds when all of a sudden my little tufted titmouse shows up. I was just about to reach for my camera to get a picture when the hummingbird chased him off. I could have screamed, I wanted a picture of him so bad, and the hummingbird was being mean today chasing off all the birds that came around, like she wanted the whole area to herself. Im hoping he will come back again so I can get a picture.
I do have a couple of birds that i dont know what they are though. Im just assuming they are a baby somethings because they are not in my bird books at all. When I get their pics fixed up I'll post them and hopefully somebody might have an idea for me.
